Subject: How to get strong with bands...
Training bands are a GREAT tool for building strength and muscle mass...one of my favorites, in fact.
I've showed you a lot of exercises using them (and I'm going to list a bunch of them below for you for reference).
The reason I'm writing this email is to let you know of an excellent new strength training program just released by the guy who makes the bands that I recommend...Dave Schmitz.
The program is called Band Strong.
And it's all about how to use training bands to gain strength, build muscle, and lose fat without having to set foot in a gym and without needing a lot of equipment.
Dave has spent the last 20 years focused on band training...and he'll show you that the results you can achieve with them are nothing short of spectacular. The key is knowing how to use them properly.
The Band Strong package includes the program and a kit of two pairs of bands for you to use in your training (as well as handles and straps so you can use them for every exercise in the program).
For me, I find bands most useful for adding additional resistance to exercises, strategically reducing resistance (e.g. reverse band bench press), and by changing direction of resistance when using free weight exercises.
They're extremely versatile and Dave's "Quantum" bands are some of the best in the industry...durable, strong and ready to take whatever you can dish out. I use mine all the time.
If you're interested in just getting some bands, you can go to his main site here (the 41 inch bands are the ones I generally use).
Here's a list of some of the band exercises I've posted in the past so you can see just how verstale these things are as training tools...
- Lateral Band Feet-Elevated Push-Ups for Upper Chest
- Power Start Lactic Acid Training With Reverse Band Bench Press
- Explosive Band Knee-Ups
- Band Crawling for Abs
- Reverse Band Barbell Bench Press
- Band Supported Dips
- Inwards-Resisted Band Bench Press
- Level 4 Dumbbell Crawling
- Band-Position Spotting for Bench Press
- Band On Head Hamstring Stretch
- Band Resisted/Assisted Nordic Curls for Hamstrings
- Lateral Band Hanging Knee Raises
- Two Band Pull-Ups
- Lateral Band Presses for Improving Bench Press Lockout
- Two Band Planks
- Use Bands to Add 20 Lbs To Your Bench Press
- Decline Bench Band and Dumbbell Curls
- Handcuff Lateral Band Pull-Ups and Pulldowns
- Horizontal Band-on-Wrist Deadlifts
- Double Band Squats
As you can see, there are a TON of really cool exercises you can do with a set of bands...and this is only scratching the surface.
In the Band Strong program, you'll learn how to use JUST bands to achieve peak conditioning without the "beaten up" feeling that you can sometimes get from using free weights
Me, I like that feeling, but that's just me, which is why I primarily use bands in conjunction with free weights.
This program will be particularly useful if you train at home and don't have much equipment or if you travel a lot and you don't always have access to a gym. These bands go anywhere (travel bag included).
