Canola Oil...NOT as good for you as some authorities claim... I've got a really eye-opening article from my friend and nutritionist Mike Geary that I want you to read here today. And ok, it's not going to KILL you (I might have exagerrated a bit there :)...it sure ain't gonna help you though. I didn't actually know the "gruesome" details about canola oil myself and, after reading this article, I think it's VERY important stuff to learn. You'll get a lot out of it, especially if you use canola oil in your cooking. Heck, when I was in University (in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, if you're familiar with the area...where the trees grow sideways because of the constant wind), my nutrition professor was actually WORKING on mucking around with canola oil from a research perspective... ...and now that I think of it, I wonder if he had anything to do with these problems with processed canola oil...hmm...that would explain the grade I got in his class ;) Anyway, good article and worth the quick read.
