Subject: BEST lateral-delt exercise I've EVER found...
For real.
This one does require a bit of special equipment (a Safety Squat Bar and a power rack), but if you have it, you're going to LOVE it.
I've been training almost 29 years and I've honestly never felt my shoulders light up like this before, especially the lateral delts.
I'm going to be using this one instead of dumbbell and barbell shoulder presses for the forseeable future, it's that good (and addictive).
I really found it hit the lateral delts extremely hard while sparing the shoulder joint.

If you don't have a Safety Squat Bar, you could potentially try using a landmine barbell setup, standing sideways to the bar instead of facing it, using the same up-and-out movement pattern.
Alternatively, you could also stand perpendicular to a standing shoulder press machine and do the same thing.
The leverage changes that Safety Squat Bar give you, however, make this version the best option.
