Personally, I can't stand those trendy diets that are named after a specific "style" of eating or a place name, or whatever.
Food is food...some good quality, some bad quality. Choosing the right foods, in the right quantity, is the key.
Avocados, for example, are both high in fat AND calories...and that's precisely why they can help you lose weight.
So yeah, the "Avocado Diet" just on it's own is missing the real point...
The key is to stop thinking about "designer diets," fat content or calories on specific foods. While overall calorie intake DOES matter, 'Nutrient Density' is just as important.
