Subject: Anti-influenza virus effects of cocoa...
This was something of great interest to me since I'm a BIG fan of chocolate... :)
Here's a quick rundown of the study...(link goes to abstract).

Anti-Influenza Virus Effects of Cocoa...
J Sci Food Agric. 2016 Mar 15;96(4):1150-8.
Cocoa contains biologically active ingredients that have broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, which includes an inhibitory effect on influenza virus infection.
CONCLUSION:
Drinking cocoa activates natural immunity and enhances vaccination-induced immune response, providing stronger protection against influenza virus infection and disease onset.

Being honest, before I saw this study, I had no idea that cocoa (a.k.a. cacao) could have a beneficial effect on your immune system like this.
Even more interesting, before we went into lockdown here in Illinois a little over a month ago, I had actually started testing out a cacao food/supplement called "Cacao Bliss."
Beyond just the potential boost in immunity, this stuff has some serious nutritional power.
I knew cacao was good for you...I didn't realize just HOW good it was until I read more about it on their website.
It has a nice, light chocolate taste...not bitter at all. I just mix it with about half a cup of water so the serving doesn't get too diluted and it tastes like non-sweet chocolate milk to me. Really delicious stuff.
