New Workshop - China and Luster Painting with Melanie Sherman

Here's your chance to find out how Melanie Sherman creates such intricate and beautiful work with lusters, gold leaf and china paint. This two day workshop includes discussions and presentations on compositional planning, image transfer, tools, mixing mediums, and firing procedures. Participants can sign up for either day or both. Fall in love with clay this Fall! Bring your sweetheart or favorite pal to the studios at Belger Arts Center for a fun and creative evening. You won't want to miss this great fall line-up at two of Kansas City's most unique galleries!
Currently on exhibition at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery (2011 Tracy Ave) are three incredible artists who put their own unique twist on everyday places and things. Come experience a collaborative art installation within a hotel room, exquisitely crafted sculptural furniture, and breath-taking porcelain. All exhibitions are free and open to the public on First Fridays and during regular gallery hours.
The Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut St), located in the heart of the Crossroads Arts District, is the home of John and Maxine Belger Collection. Now through the end of the year you can see collection treasures such as large-scale 2D and 3D works by John De Andrea, Robert Stackhouse, and William T. Wiley.

Hours for both the Belger Crane Yard Gallery and Belger Arts Center are: Wed – Fri: 10am - 5pm, Sat: 10am - 4pm, First Friday: 10am - 9pm
