Slip, Stencils and Surface with Jason Burnett!

Whether you’re a sculptural, functional or tile-based ceramic artist, this workshop is for you! Jason Burnett will focus on embellishing pottery with colored slips, stamps, underglaze, stains and other various techniques, including resists and image transfers to create rich dynamic surfaces. Jason will share how he decorates surfaces using leather hard clay adding more layers and depth prior to glazing. Hurry, as space is limited to 20, and one workshop is already sold out! |

Jessica Brandl, a 2006 graduate of Kansas City Art Institute and a former Red Star Studio Artist-In-Residence, returns to KC with a solo exhibition of new sculptural vessels.
Hailing from Bakersville, North Carolina, Jason Burnett makes functional ceramics influenced by American folk art, mid-century motifs, and pop-culture material in both real and idealized landscapes.
