Summer Art Camp (Ages 7-12)

Belger Arts provides four, one-week sessions of creative fun led by our experienced art educators. Each one-week session introduces new materials and techniques to campers ages 7 through 12. With a flexible full- or half-day format, busy families can choose the schedule that works best for them. Need before- or after-care? Our artists can keep your artists busy for an additional fee. Teen Studio Experience

Do you have a camper that is over the age of 12? Then try our Teen Studio Experience at Belger Crane Yard Studios! Our summer Teen Studio Experience is designed to inspire and coach students who want to take their art to the next level. Whether it’s throwing pots on the wheel, enlarging the scale of a hand-built sculpture, or experimenting with advanced firing techniques, our professional ceramic artists will help students achieve their personal goals and get the most out of their studio practice. Adult Ceramics Classes

Belger Crane Yard Studios has plenty of new and exciting experiences that can be found in our four- to six-week adult class sessions. Take a hike with sculptor and conservation educator, Cydney Ross to gain inspiration, then learn various hand-building and surface techniques. In this six-week class students will be inspired by Kansas City's spectacular natural environments and iconic architecture to create a series of tiles, sculptures, or hand-built vessels.

Teen Weekend - Intro to Glassblowing

Know a teen interested in learning how to blow glass this summer? The Belger Glass Annex (1219 E 19th St., KCMO) is offering a three-day workshop focused on the fundamentals of glassblowing and geared toward students ages 13 to 18 years old. Students will learn the basics of gathering glass onto a blowpipe, shaping the molten glass, and adding color to their creations.

May 21 - Make Your Own Glass Flower

Celebrate the spring season by making your own glass flower. See your creativity flourish as you create the perfectly colored bloom as a gift for a friend or for yourself.

Get a feel for what it's like to blow glass as professional glassblowers guide you through the process of adding color and shaping molten glass. Reservations are $50 per person and are open to all experience levels. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Only a few spots remain for June and July “Make Your Own” experiences.

Date Night

Bring a fun friend or sweetheart to a Date Night Pottery Class at Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, KCMO). Learn to throw on the wheel, decorate what you make, and we'll fire and glaze it. Your finished work can be picked up one month after class. Date Night happens every Friday and Saturday! Classes sell out quickly, so don't delay!
