Visiting Glass Artist Gabe Feenan

Join us at the Belger Glass Annex (1219 E. 19th Street) for the following opportunities to see visiting artist Gabe Feenan.

  • Artist Talk: Thursday, October 6 from 6pm to 7pm

  • Free Glassblowing Demo: Friday, October 7 from 6pm to 8pm

  • Glass Workshop: Saturday, October 8 through Monday, October 10 (registration required)

Gabe Feenan is known around the world for his craftsmanship and technical ability in the hotshop. He has been a resident gaffer at the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA since 2002, and has worked with countless glass artists to actualize their creative and conceptual visions. Feenan’s own artworks are distinct for their technically challenging compositions and elegant sculptural stacks of bold geometric forms and rich color.

Feenan’s glass blowing demonstration and artist talk will cover themes and techniques unique to his work. Feenan’s three-day, hands-on workshop will focus on traditional and non-traditional hotshop techniques, including encalmo, cane work, and murrini.
