Subject: New artist joins Belger Arts + May Mug of the Month

May Mug of the Month

May Mug of the Month featured artist is Eleanor Foy, current artist in residence at Belger Crane Yard Studios. The shape and glaze of her mugs are inspired by camping, travel and plaid patterning. They will be available online, and in the Belger Crane Yard Gallery starting Friday, May 6th at 10:00 am CST. Learn more about Eleanor For by visiting her artist page.

There’s still time to purchase mugs by April Mug of the Month artist Nicole Woodard. Check them out online or in-person at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery. Visit Nicole's artist page to learn more about her.

A Mug of the Month subscription is not required. However, a monthly subscription reserves your spot before they go on sale to the public. If you missed a month, shop online or come by the Gallery to see if mugs by previously featured artists are still available.

Meet Jessalyn Mailoa

Jessalyn Mailoa recently joined the Belger Glass Annex crew after completing an assistantship at the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio. She is originally from Jakarta, Indonesia, and she earned her BFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jessalyn has a particular interest in glass sculpting and video, and her artwork explores themes of social interactions, vulnerable spaces, and shared narratives.

Jessalyn helps teach all of our glassblowing classes, "Make Your Own" glass events, and Group Glass Experiences. She is also one of the artists featured in the Heartland 4 exhibition on view through May 7th at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery.

We are delighted to have such a talented glassblower at the Glass Annex with a unique skillset to share.  Keep an eye out for Jessalyn's three-day special topics workshop coming this fall!
