“Throwing and Assembling” class with Sarah Veak

A new season brings new classes to Belger Crane Yard Studios! We offer a range of classes from beginning wheel to handbuilding, and advanced special topics. Interested in making larger ceramic forms? Why not take Throwing and Assembling with Sarah Veak! Want to learn how to use ceramic slip in new and innovative ways? Cydney Ross teaches Slip-Dip Floral Arrangements. Intro Glassblowing Classes

This fall is the perfect time to become a glassblower at the Belger Glass Annex. Get a strong foundation in glassblowing fundamentals by taking Glass 1 (October) and Glass 2 (November).

The Belger Glass Annex offers two Glass 1 classes this October. The first is a four-week evening class starting on Wednesday, October 12, and the second is a weekend class happening Saturday and Sunday, October 15 - 16. Both classes cover the same material and equally prepare you for Glass 2.

Once you finish Glass 1, jump right into Glass 2 starting on Wednesday, November 30. Upon completing Glass 2, you will be eligible to enroll in more advanced specialty workshops and can start renting studio time to make your own work.

Glassblowing Holiday Experiences

Looking for something unique (and warm) to do to celebrate the holiday season?

The Belger Glass Annex has several Thursday evening openings for Group Glass Experiences. These experiences are perfect for group holiday gatherings of friends, family, or co-workers. Each person gets a chance to make a glass object that commemorates the season. Visit our website to read more and to see a full list of available dates.

Date Night

Bring a fun friend or sweetheart to a Date Night Pottery Class at Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, KCMO). Learn to throw on the wheel, decorate what you make, and we'll fire and glaze it. Your finished work can be picked up one month after class. Date Night happens every Friday and Saturday! Classes sell out quickly, so don't delay!
