New Adult Ceramics Classes

Expand your knowledge of ceramics and try one of our special topics classes like Monoprinting on Clay with Carolyn Mimbs! Design, paint, and print onto clay using underglaze and slip, and learn how to create a finished work of art, from forming to glazing.

New Glass Workshop

The Belger Glass Annex offers Introduction to Hot Sculpting, taught by assistant glassblower Jessalyn Mailoa, September 9 through 11. Jessalyn is a talented artist who incorporates glassblowing and hot sculpting techniques in her work. The workshop will focus on hot sculpting, a spot-heating technique that involves using a torch to sculpt glass. Students are encouraged to come with project ideas to employ new workshop techniques, and bring their projects to life. Glass 1 and Glass 2 Classes

Learn to blow glass this fall at the Belger Glass Annex! Glass 1 gives a comprehensive introduction to glass as a material and teaches students how to use standard glassblowing tools. Glass 2 builds upon the skills taught in Glass 1. Both classes are offered in either a four-week evening format or in a weekend format. Find the class that fits your schedule and sign up today!

Hands-On Glassblowing Experiences

Get a taste of what it's like to blow glass at one of our fun "Make Your Own" glass events. These monthly events give participants the opportunity to work with a professional glassblower to make a seasonal object out of glass. Space is limited and events sell out quickly so reserve your spot today!

Date Night

Bring a fun friend or sweetheart to a Date Night Pottery Class at Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, KCMO). Learn to throw on the wheel, decorate what you make, and we'll fire and glaze it. Your finished work can be picked up one month after class. Date Night happens every Friday and Saturday! Classes sell out quickly, so don't delay!
