Jada Patterson was born in Milwaukee and has lived and worked in Kansas City, MO for the last six years. She received a BFA in Ceramics and Art History in 2020 from the Kansas City Art Institute. Her work explores the human condition, identity, culture, adornment, and decay. Jada works primarily in clay and beeswax, and ventures into other mediums. Jada has worked at several Kansas City institutions including the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures, the Goethe-Institut Pop Up Kansas City, the H&R Block Artspace, and Belger Arts, where she’s currently the Gallery Coordinator. She’s also a Charlotte Street Foundation resident. Next month Jada begins a residency at Arrowmont School of Arts and Craft in Gatlinburg, TN. We are grateful for all that she’s contributed to Belger Arts and will miss her. We wish her the best in all of her endeavors.
