Intersections + Identities

The International Sculpture Center (ISC) will hold the 27th International Sculpture Conference: Intersections + Identities in Kansas City, MO from October 25-28, 2017. This four-day conference will bring together an audience of artists, educators, arts administrators, museum directors, collectors, patrons, students, and sculpture enthusiasts. Programming will include the annual ISC littleSCULPTURE Show; ARTSlams & mentor sessions; engaging panel discussions at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art; opening reception & artist studio tours at Studios Inc.; keynote address; closing reception at Belger Crane Yard Studios on Saturday; gallery hop in the Crossroads; workshops at Kansas City Art Institute & the University of Kansas; and optional art & culture trips. Pre- and post-conference tours & workshops will be held October 24th and October 29th.

Friday Gallery Hop at Belger Arts Center!
Join us Friday evening, October 27th from 5-9pm at Belger Arts Center in the Crossroads Arts District for the ISC's gallery hop! Three sculpture based exhibits are on display - George Timock: A Legacy in Clay 1973-2015; Shalene Valenzuela: Weights and Measures; and The Other Side of the Street: Charlotte Street on Walnut Street.
Closing Reception and Outstanding Student Achievement Awards Ceremony and Exhibition at Belger Crane Yard Studios
Say "so long" at a Closing Reception on Saturday, October 28th at Belger Crane Yard Studios from 7-10pm, where you will attend the opening of the 2017 ISC Outstanding Student Achievement Exhibition, which will include the awards ceremony. Congratulate the ISC’s Student winners and check out their work, as well as the other exhibitions on site, including White Gold: Montana Dreams by Robert Harrison and Russell Ferguson and Shane Lutzk: Clay, Lines, and Fire.
