Belger Arts Update

Dear Community,

In the midst of the KC stay-home order, we are able to offer some resources and ideas for those who will be working from home.  We are a strong, resilient community and will continue to develop new options to keep you growing professionally and creatively.  Please continue to check our website for any updates.

Gallery
We want to support the artists who have work in our gallery and give you the chance to expand your personal collection with some of the most talented makers in this country.  With their permission, we are launching a regular series of flash sales that will give you the ability to purchase their work at a special price and help keep fuel in our creative engines. Please check "The Shop" portion of our gallery soon for upcoming flash sale events!  Thank you for supporting artists and local businesses.  Exhibitions Manager Sarah Hearn (shearn@belgerarts.org) can assist with any requests.

Classes
Learn something new, have some fun, and help our teachers keep teaching!  We are launching some web-based classes beginning Friday, March 27 that will challenge and inspire you and allow you to continue to learn new making strategies and refresh some old skills.  Your favorite teachers will now be able to connect with you in your own home!  If you have immediate questions, please contact Education Coordinator Sarah Olsen: education@belgerarts.org.

Crane Yard Clay Supply

Our website never sleeps and is taking your online orders.  Visit www.kcclay.com to find items, make purchases and pay online.  We will follow up with either contactless pick-up options or a contactless delivery that will bring your items to you.  We will do our best to respond to questions while you are working from home.  Please contact Studio Manager Tommy Frank at tfrank@belgerarts.org with any special requests.

Studio - Firing
Guess what?!!  We can continue to fire items for those working from home!  We have a daily window of opportunity from 2pm to 6pm for pick-ups and drop-off.  This time window may be adjusted and we will keep you updated if it does.  If you require any special accommodations, please contact Studio Technician Pierce Haley at studio@belgerarts.org.

Studio - Wheel Rental
Would you like to keep throwing pots at home?! We are renting our wheels for a monthly rate. Available for Pick-Up or Delivery. Contact Studio Manager Tommy Frank (tfrank@belgerarts.org) for rates and details.

Belger Arts staff will continue to work on and off-site to ensure basic operations and studio functions for the organization.

We would like your feedback on how we are doing or any suggestions of ideas or new services that will make your shelter-at-home time more productive.  And maybe even make the time a little more enjoyable too!

Most importantly, please reach out and let us know how you are doing.  Our creative community is very important to us and we want to keep up with one another during this new chapter in our collective history.

Warm regards,

The Belger Arts Staff
