We started beekeeping about 16 years ago. It all began as a research project for a Rotary Club that had funds for social development in Diepsloot area. I went on a bee course, bought the Blue Book and started keeping bees!

We started bee removals and splitting hives and it was a huge learning curve. I had some help but most of the time I was learning on the job and reading! If I had help like we offer now via webinar training, bee courses and

online masterclasses it would've been so much easier and faster to

start beekeeping and make it a business!
