OUR SUNFLOWER CALCULATION ERROR!

Sometimes, mistakes take place. What is not an ERROR is that studies and agricultural research across the globe shows about 40% increases in yield for sunflowers when honeybees pollinate the crop!

What I wrote below needs changes... to be accurate!

Original sentence: Sunflowers generate about 2 tons of sunflower yield per hectare valued at about R17,500* per hectare gross income.

*I quoted R17,000.

(According to GrainSA based on the newer hybrids stated on their website and the link we provided.)

The Calculation is incorrect... And I meant to add that sunflowers generated R8,750 per ton [making a total of R17,500 per hectare] in 2022 in South Africa.

Either way, sunflower farmers can generate up to an extra R3,000 per hectare* [Correction: I said per ton before] produced after renting 4x bee colonies at a max investment of R1000 per hive per hectare to a beekeeper.
