Experts's advice
The seasons are definitely changing. If you are in a blue gum or sunflower rich area make sure you don't neglect your bees this time of year!
You should ensure you provide ample harvesting space in a super chamber or even two if you have any of these flowering sources of nectar in the vaccinity of your apiary.
TIP: If your bees have become aggressive, make sure you inspect the brood chamber and check that the queen has laying space. If you haven't serviced the brood chamber then eventually the queen bee is unable to fit her hips down the cell to lay an egg...
The outcome of this is that she becomes frustrated and the bees become aggressive. To avoid this situation, ensure that you service your colonies by removing and cleaning one to two brood frames and then return them to the chamber in order to provide the queen with fresh comb to lay in.
An alternative reason for aggression is that the colony is outgrowing the space provided... Add a new super chamber!
