Blooming Sweet Deal
~ Oct of 2019! ~
Although there hasn't been much rain in Southern Africa over the last month, nature still set up the bloom that bees buzz madly for.
Bees are booming now along with the blooming flowers of all kinds of flowering trees, crops and shrubs. Take note of what's flowering in your garden, your street and your town!
Win - win sweet deal for farmers and property owners to host your bee hives on their property is twofold - they get much better pollination and this usually means increase in yield for crop growers PLUS they also benefit from more biodiversity which increases the entire ecological environment!
Not to mention, you and the bees get more honey!
Apiary site(s) management STEPs:
- Contact farmers near you to place hives on their property
- Contact smallholder property owners near you
- Who needs pollinating in your area?
- What farmer groups can you connect with to get access to for hives with crops?
- Have spare super chambers (shallow or deep) for the storage and building of comb for the excess honey that the spring provides for!
- Bees need FOOD and water to thrive so ensure they are placed in sites with access to super high value or excess amounts of flowering blossoms - This usually equates to honey for you so make it so...
- Make sure your Bees have SPACE > provide them with extra space by way of empty super or brood
There's more details on this further down...read on!
We've helped people start pollinating businesses, bee removal businesses, honey production and even other shops - simply because we can bee more together!
How can we help you bee more?
