Congratulations! By keeping bees or starting beekeeping you have joined a growing number of people that enjoy the outdoors, your back yard and marvelling at nature's perfect design.

Below is a picture of a queen bee in one of our colonies. 
 
Can you spot her? The queen bee is the only fertile female in the Scutellata colony and therefore the only bee that can properly lay eggs of either male or female workers. 

She is bigger in size and different in colouring to the workers. Her body is very much like that of a moths. Most notably, her body has no yello bands.
