Hello friends and fellow beaders! Hope all is good. We have a new Technique Tuesday for you. Right Angle Weave Part 2. It is about the 2nd and subsequent rows. Trying a new little way of explaining it so I'd love some feed back. Kit's on Close out. We have a few kit that need to be reworked mostly due to unavailable supplies to make them. So check out the couple that are listed in this newsletter. We have been going thru them a bit at a time.
New Kit Amelia! A very delicate necklace in a beautiful green blue color way. It is Tubular Peyote with Stitch in the ditch, and a tiny bit of right angle weave. It is a pre-sale due to ship May 18th. Save Big! Regular $85 Now $72.00
Last but not least, there have been posts on facebook about people getting kits and the kits are short on beads etc... and even last week I got a call about a kit with an error. I just want to remind everyone that we guarantee our kits have enough beads to complete the project as stated, and if you ever have a problem please contact us. That way we can also check the other kits that were made at the same time and get in touch with people if we know that it was a mistake.
Also while talking to some of our customers, It was brought to my attention that one of the kits has you using a double thread. As it turns out she didn't know how to change threads with a double thread, and tried to find info on the web. Not everyone does it the same! So.... I am going to be more aware of the fact that some techniques may be new to a person... even if they have been beading. So I will include extra instructions as much as possible to help you the consumer understand it all. Please remember you can always contact us. We learn from you as you learn from us.
And Finally another subject came up that was on thread color. Not matching the beads. Well those of you who have taken classes from me or purchased other kits know that I prefer thread, and I use thread color as part of the design, and very often it does not match for one reason or another. I can see how someone might think that we are just throwing in what ever thread we have laying around but no... alot of thought goes into thread color. I learned from the wonderful Diane Fitzgerald years ago that thread can influence the color of the beads. Even with a tight stitch like peyote. Again if you ever have any questions remember we are a phone call away. Make it a great week! Glenda |
