Hello Fellow Beaders and Friends,

I just wanted to let you know that Crystal Creations Bead Institute will be closing it’s doors very soon. It has been a wonderful journey and I thank all of you who supported us from the bottom of my heart.

34 years ago I opened a 500 Sq foot store selling mostly metaphysical rocks and such. We had beads because they were made from stone. I did Gold and Silver jewelry repair and lapidary work.We moved shortly after to Forest Hill Blvd. one 1200 sq foot bay. I was pretty nervous! However as it turned out the stretchy craze bracelets became famous and the store took root.

During that time we expanded to two bays, having a classroom in the  back, then to three bays so we could have a bigger class room and  bring in National Guest Teachers.  I am pretty sure we had every guest teacher here teaching and it was great to offer the community that sort of beading education. We also did cruises and land tours. Fun times..

We eventually downsized to one bay but now the time to close is upon us.

My Son was raised in the bead shop. I remember him sitting under the tables watching the hobbit movie. My daughter helped in many different periods and eventually built a career as a designer, and became a guest teacher herself.

I have so much gratitude to all the employees who have given so much support thru the years, and especially Pat, my right arm, Edda, Sheryl and Sharon who have been with me since the pandemic.

Future classes are a possibility, along with zoom, etc…. I know alot of you have had classes on your mind.. All to be determined.

I could go on for pages about all the great memories, and the sadness that I feel in closing.

I had always envisioned selling the shop so it could carry on.. the pandemic however got in the way.

I know so many of the local customers will be sad, just remember we will still be in town and can arrange lessons etc..

So stock up on beads now and to help you do that we are lots of special sales thru out the month.
