Best Colorado Deals is in the midst of moving, and we can’t prowl for bargains while we’re schlepping boxes, so we’re offering a somewhat abbreviated version of the newsletter this week. Please bear with us – and please help fill the next newsletter by telling us about any deals you’d like to share.

What do fathers want?
Ask, and they say stuff like "Just knowing you love me is enough." So if you're still trying to figure out what to give Dad on his day, consider something unconventional.

Children of metrosexuals, take note
If your dad has evolved to the point that he might consider trying a bit of pampering in the form of a facial, check out www.spafinder.com, where it’s possible to buy an e-mail gift certificate (think instant delivery) for a spa treatment at any of some 100 spas in the metro area, including such favorites as Salon Tobie Urban Spa, 200 Quebec, 303-366-4247, www.salontobie.com; Tomorrow’s Body, 432 S. Broadway,
303-777-7076; and Ciao Bella Day Spa, 2559 W. Main St., Littleton, 303-997-8491 – which offers both men’s and women’s locker rooms.

Honor Dad by helping children
Tennyson Center for Children also is offering an instant gift: a
personalized e-card  notifying Dad that you’ve made a donation in his name to help the good people at Tennyson fight child abuse and help at-risk children live fulfilling, safe lives. To order, go to www.tennysoncenter.org.

Jewels bring hope for juvenile diabetics
Beautifully packaged cellophane bags filled with small pieces of
vintage faux, fun and fashion jewelry will be on sale starting at just $5 during the Jewels for Hope sale from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Koelbel Library, 5955 S. Holly St., Centennial. All proceeds go to the Barbara Davis Center for Childhood Diabetes for research and to help children in need buy diabetic supplies. Help, too, by bringing no-longer-loved pieces to donate from your own collection. For more
information, call the Children’s Diabetes Foundation, 303-863-1200, or go to www.jewelsforhope.org.
