This is a challenging time... I don't have words yet. Still so emotional and sad. It's all I can do to show up for what's next.
Instead I'm using Ezra's words: (Ezra is my husband, also a novelist, and co-teacher in our school; and a high school physics teacher by day.)
He writes:
On George Floyd's murder: I don't claim to understand all the emotions that every single person is going through, but I do feel it vital that I educate myself as much as I can in this respect. Recently, I watched Trevor Noah of The Daily Show discuss these challenging times. I recommend it to all. (20 minutes)
