| Banilla Games Inc. Keeps Big Promise! |
| Banilla Games Inc., of Greenville, NC made a rather big promise to its Georgia customers in August of last year. According to Michael Smith, “Smitty” to his friends, Sales Manager for Banilla Games, “There was just a lot of uncertainty in the Georgia market concerning the implementation of the required SAS 6.02 protocol which is required for connection to the Georgia Lottery’s Central Accounting System.” Therefore, Banilla, in an effort to assure its customers that their boards would connect, promised that they would update or replace every Banilla board in Georgia with a new certified SAS compliant board which would connect to the Central Accounting System. To back up that promise, “We said that we would buy the boards back if we didn’t give the Master License Holder a new SAS compliant board.”
The good news for Banilla and all of its loyal customers is that in December, all five of the Diamond Skill boards by Banilla were certified by Gaming Labs International of Lakewood New Jersey, to be fully SAS compliant and interconnectable with Intralot’s new Central Accounting System. |

As of the printing of this issue of the World’s Favorite Newsletter, 100% of the Banilla products for the Georgia market have been certified and are, in fact, connected and operating in the field. “It wasn’t easy” said Justin Harris, Chief Technical Officer at Banilla. “but we have some talented people in this building and we got it done with a little help from GLI and the good folks at Intralot.” “Of course we’re proud,” said Smitty, “we worked very hard to get this done and it’s very satisfying to know that our games are connected in the field as we speak.” Smitty made a point to invite all of his and his partner Brooks Lee’s customers in Georgia to come have lunch on Banilla at the February 19th GAMOA meeting at the Moose Lodge in McDonough, Georgia.
Banilla is the Main Sponsor of that meeting. “We are very grateful for everything the good people of GAMOA have done this past year and we want to do all we can to support them,” Smitty stated. “Please come see us and the Diamond Skill games at 11:00 on the 19th!”
It’s always good to be able to say “Promise Made, Promise Kept” Good job Banilla! |

| | Choice Skill Looks Like A Good Choice! |
|
| “We are very proud of our new additions to the Banilla Games family,” said Tim Smith, Vice President of Banilla Games. According to Smith, “Our “Choice Skill” games are based on our very successful catalogue of skill games in the “Diamond Skill” line of games. ”Choice Skill” games have one important additional feature though, that is the “Prize Viewer” preview feature on each of the games.” The “Prize Viewer” feature allows a player to see the prize that will be available to him or her before playing the game or even inserting any money into the game.
Banilla believes, along with many others who have seen the concept, that these games are more appropriate for markets which require that skill predominate over chance.
While Banilla makes no claims regarding the legal status of the Choice Skill games in any jurisdiction, some well-respected attorneys certainly don’t mind going on record.

“These games appear to be legal here in Alabama.” said gaming Attorney Joe Basgier, when reached by phone in his Birmingham office. “I would certainly agree with Joe’s assessment,” stated Jack Draper, gaming attorney in Aniston Alabama. Both Joe and Jack have issued formal legal opinions regarding the Choice Skill games to their clients in Alabama.
“They are certainly good here in Ohio too” said Kurt Gearhiser, well respected gaming attorney in Ohio. “I have issued an opinion regarding these Banilla games and would be glad to talk to anyone about representing them with regard to the Choice Skill games.”
As this issue goes to press, there is also a lot of excitement about the Choice Skill games in Pennsylvania after a December court ruling from there which looks very promising!
It sure looks like “Choice Skill” might be a “Good Choice!” |

| | Big Dan Lewicki Moves to the Tarheel State!
Since the last edition of the world’s favorite newsletter, there have been a lot of changes at Banilla Games. One of the biggest is the addition of Dan Lewicki to the Dynamic Duo of Smitty and Brooks Lee. Dan started working on the sales team with Smitty and Brooks in November after leaving his position of Sales Manager at Fun Company of New Lisbon Wisconsin. Fun Company is one of Banilla’s distributors and is a big player in the amusement game market.
“We are very excited to welcome Dan and his wife Kari to Eastern North Carolina!” said Garrett Blackwelder, President of Banilla Games. “We have known Dan for quite some time and have the greatest respect for him. We were thrilled when he showed some interest in the possibility of coming on board.”
Dan is currently selling Banilla products in the Mid-West but he and Kari will be moving to North Carolina in April. (Sidenote: Most sources contacted by The Banilla Times agreed that Dan married much better than Kari did.) Dan has been a little under the weather since last Sunday’s Green Bay Packers / Seattle Seahawks game but hopes to recover in the next few days.
