Our Topic: How to Build Community as a Author
You are all in a community -- this one! It's a great place to practice building community as an author in the real world. Why would you want to?
In a writing community like this one, you can learn stuff, get feedback on your work and marketing efforts, and get to help others behind you in the journey.
Online on your own social media channels, you can foster connections with allies (other writers and industry professionals). You can also reach out to potential readers.
In real world communities, you can learn from your peers and help others too.
You may have questions and wonderings about building community to connect with fans and allies, like, how do I find a group of like-minded allies? How do I build community with fans? What else?
So we'll focus on that next week. I have tips to share on doing this both online and IRL ("in the real world").
