Subject: New Coin Swap alert - 2 new Australian coins are being released this Wednesday......

AustraliaCoins.org

Hey Friend

Just as there are 2 sides to every coin, this week there are 2 sides of Australia's history and culture being commemorated with new coins.

The first coin is a new coloured two dollar.

It's become an ANZAC Day tradition since 2014 to recognise 100 years since World War 1 with a coloured two dollar coin.

However, since World War 1 ended in 1918, this year the Mint has changed its focus from the war itself to the aftermath of the war. This year's coin celebrates 100 years since the return home of the soldiers and the nurses.

The second new coin being released this week is a 50-cent celebrating the international year of Indigenous languages, and the fight to record and preserve these languages before they are lost.

The Mint has released images of these 2 coins today - you can see them here:
https://www.ramint.gov.au/sites/default/files/2019_mini_mint_issue_april_fa2.pdf

Both coins will be released into circulation (so keep an eye on your change).

But there are 2 other ways to grab copies of the coins:

The first option is to buy the uncirculated packs from the Mint (or other coin dealers).

The second option is the coin swap....

If you happen to be in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney This Wednesday (April 10), you can grab fresh copies of these new coins in satchels.

The coin swap allows you to trade cash for satchels of the new coins. Each satchel is worth $10 (five $2 coins or twenty 50-cent coins - you get the coins for face value). They do require you to pay cash for the satchels.

I hope that you manage to find copies of these beautiful coins.

Happy hunting!

Damian
