It's happening again - tomorrow (Monday, May 9) Australia Post is releasing another 26 alphabet coins. This is the third "Great Australian Coin Hunt".

The rules are the same as last year:
- The coins are available at face value ($1 each) when you make a purchase with cash at Australia Post (you can get the coins in your change),
- If you want all 26 coins straight away, you can buy the set in a tube for $47,
- There is a folder to store all 26 coins. It comes free with the $47 tube (and is also available separately for $7).

X marks the spot!

Some tubes have a special coloured coin - the coloured coin this year is the X coin. I'm not sure what the odds are for finding this coloured coin, but last year it was about 1 in 10 Tubes had the coloured coin.

There is also a daily competition where you can win $1,000. You need to scan a QR code inside the coin tube (which means you have to open the tube). There is a unique number under the QR code in each tube. This comp will be drawn daily from May 9 till June 5.

If you can't get to Australia Post Offices/Stores, you can order the tubes from Australia Post's website, the RAM website and other coin dealers.

I've included some photos from the recent Stamp Bulletin to show you details of what to look for. I'll send out more details later in the promotion after the coins are released.
