Subject: New $2 coin set available now for the Commonwealth Games (plus errors to check for)

AustraliaCoins.org

Hey Friend

As you may already know, Woolworths and the Mint have released a new set of coins to celebrate the Commonwealth Games that start soon.

There are three coloured $2 Coins going into circulation. The three coins have A, U or S in the middle surrounded by coloured circles:

The three Coloured Coins

Like previous Woolworths coin promotions, there are 2 ways to get these three coins. You can buy the full set, or collect them as part of your change when you pay with cash at Woolworths.

Each week, there will be a different coin released through the checkouts. This first week, it's the 'A' Coin. Next Wednesday, they will have the 'U' coin in the cash registers and then the final week will be the 'S' coin.

However, if you'd like to get all 3 coins at once, you can buy the set:

The Folder (inside)

The set is being sold by Woolworths and the Mint for $15. It contains these three coloured $2 coins, plus four unique $1 coins. The $1 coins are only available in this set - they're not meant for circulation.

Possible errors:
Remember to check the coloured coins for errors...

1. A Bullseye error - the paint is on the Heads side instead of the Tails side.

2. Wrong paint error - the photo above shows what the paint on each of the 3 coins should look like. If you look closely, you'll notice the following designs on each coin's coloured circle:
- A coin: the Kangaroo and Emu from the Australian Coat of Arms
- U coin: a large star
- S coin: several small stars

If your coin has the wrong paint for the letter, it's an error.

Please note, the paint can be rotated at any angle. If the paint is rotated at a different angle from what you see in my photo, that is normal.

If you come across any errors on these coins, or have questions about the coins, please let me know.

Cheers

Damian
