September has only just started, but it's already proving to be a big month for coin collecting.

1. Peacekeeping coin:

First up, the Royal Australian Mint has put a new coloured $2 coin into circulation today to mark the 75th anniversary of Australians in Peacekeeping missions.

2. Dinosaur Coins:

Starting next week, Australia Post is releasing a series of four $1 coins with a Dinosaur theme. These four coins are being released into circulation, but you can also buy them in sets.

Here is some info from the recent Stamp Bulletin about what the coins/sets will look like:

The Dino coins are available from this Monday (September 5). I understand there is a different coin available in the registers each week for 4 weeks.
