This email is to give you the heads up about another Woolworths coin promotion starting this week. Believe it or not, this week there is another new set of coins, but this one is a bit different from previous Woolworths coins releases.

There are 2 parts to this coin promotion.

Part 1. One Dollar coins...
There are four $1 coins being released into circulation. These four coins are available for all three weeks of the promotion (July 5 until July 25).

Part 2. Two Dollar coins...
There are three $2 coins being released into circulation. However, unlike the one dollar coins, these three coins will be released one-per-week over three weeks.

The first coin (the light-green/lime coloured coin) will be made available from tomorrow (Wednesday July 5). This is what the first coin looks like:

Unfortunately once again, there is no pack/set to buy. Like the Vegemite coins, you have to find these coins in your change.

So, my best tips are:
1. If you know someone who works at Woolworths, obviously check with them to see if they can put the coins aside for you.

2. Self-service checkouts:
If you go through the self-serve checkouts, you can click "withdraw cash" and choose $4 (to get two $2 coins), or choose $3 (to get a $1 and a $2).

3. Find a good time:
- visit the store a day or two after the coin(s) is released,
- go at a quiet time (like 7pm),
- buy something small that costs a dollar or two,
- pay with cash (eg $20 note),
- be really friendly to the person serving you (this is really important and a lot of people skip this part),
- ask for a special coin in your change. If it's quiet, most tellers are happy to help you find the coins.

4. If all that fails, ask someone you know in a different city or part of the country to see if they have any luck. The coins are out there, but some stores make it easier than others.

5. I found that I had a lot of luck with the Vegemite coins in the week after the promotion ended and the hype had died down.
