It would be an understatement to say this has been a strange year in Australian coin collecting...

As you'd know, there have been a LOT of coins put into circulation this year - alphabet coins, coloured coins and even dinosaur coins. In fact, there were 43 new coins put into circulation this year (including the standard-design coins).

So with all these new coins, I have just released the updated 2022 version of the 'Pirate Guide to Collecting Australian Coins':

However, there are a lot more updates than just new coins.

The Royal Australian Mint has made some significant updates to the mintages in their annual report. These changes affect most coins all the way back to 2019 - many of their reported mintages have changed by millions. I spent an entire weekend just making sense of all the changes, and this new version of the book has all of these updated numbers.

This version also has a chapter on One & Two Cent coins (by popular request!) and some other surprises.

Christmas...
