Subject: 13 New and Exciting Australian Coins to Search For!
Hey Friend
It's turning out to be a big year for coin collecting - there are 13 new coins that have just been released into circulation!
First up, as you may know, the Mint announced last year that the Heads side for 2019 will have a new portrait of the Queen. So far, we've only had the old portrait - not that exciting.
Now, I know even a new portrait on the Heads side isn't really that exciting. But what is exciting is that ALL coins (5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2) have actually been released this year with BOTH the Old and New Heads sides! That's right - we're getting 2 versions of every coin (12 "normal coins" instead of just 6).
If you want a copy of any (or all) of these coins, the Mint is making them available at their pop-up stores.
They are also available in general circulation, so keep an eye on your change. I'll do a video with more details soon.
Then there is also a bonus new $2 coin to look for in your change.
It commemorates the Police Remembrance Day, and was released early on good behaviour... Or maybe it escaped!?! Either way, it wasn't meant to be released yet apparently. But people have already started finding it in their change.
This coin will also be available from the Mint pop-up shops starting later in August or September.
I'll let you know when the coin is officially available from the Mint, so you can easily find a copy. In the meantime, keep an eye out for it in your change.

As always, Happy Hunting! I hope you find some great coins for your collection.
Cheers
Damian
PS with all these interesting coins to look for, I'm working on an exciting new guide for you... details soon.
