Birth is messy and painful and awkward.

I don’t necessarily mean childbirth, but that’s certainly included.

I mean giving birth to the reality you really, really want.

You already know there’s… something you deeply, truly, passionately desire. You know the one. The thing you want that keeps you up at night.

Maybe it’s a relationship with a person.

Maybe it’s a job or a pile of cash or…

Well… you know what it is.

Maybe it’s something you haven’t even given yourself full permission to even admit to wanting.

Because it seems impossible.

Because it seems unrealistic.

Because you don’t even know how or where to start.

Because people like you don’t get things like that.

Or… maybe you’ve been admitting you want this new reality every half hour and you’re reached the fevered point where the white hot desire is almost too much to hold without it’s sweet, soft counterpart… fulfillment.

Zen masters will tell you that when you desire less things, you’ll feel better. They’re not wrong.

But what happens when you’ve already been bitten by the desire bug?

“Oh. So I just forget what I want? Right. Perfect."

Does it work like that for you? It NEVER has for me.

Usually, the desire will stalk me day and night until I either bring it into fulfillment using force or drive myself half crazy working on it with no progress… until I “give up” and it shows up.

Because strong desire is like that.

I’ve always believed that within each desire is the seed of it’s fulfillment.

Otherwise, it wouldn’t matter at all what the heck your partner is doing with that other person (and not you).

Knowing what to “do” to manifest your desired reality sometimes helps, but that’s full of potential minefields too.

As soon as you look under the hood at “methods” for getting what you want, then there is a whole new potential set of limiting beliefs lying in wait.

And, I don’t blame people for getting caught up in the methods for getting what they want-- I do it too sometimes. It’s human.

Because some things seem much easier to manifest than others.

Depending on where you live and what you have access to, you could probably get a banana within 24 hours if that’s what you wholeheartedly desire.

But what about a new home?

What about a pile of cash?

What about making real progress on that project you’ve been putting off?

What about fresh contact from that lover who used to be so hot for you but now seems so, so cold?

The bigger and more complicated your desire, the trickier the roadmap feels to create and follow. Also, the more potential for making mistakes that sink the whole thing before you even get started. Leaving you stuck, frustrated and even more disappointed that what you want seems stubbornly out of reach.

That’s what I want to talk about on Thursday, February 4th, 2021 at 5:30PM Pacific // 7:30PM Central // 8:30PM Eastern time.
