Our Next Atlantic Paradise - São Miguel
Last week we looked at the beauty of Faial, this week we're just a 50 minute flight away, still in the Azores. So, let's take a peek at the magical São Miguel. If you can join us in in June on our Atlantic Paradises Expedition - you'll experience this with us in person!
This below is the inconic Miradouro do Rei, Portuguese for the "King's View" of the green and blue twin lagoons. You'll notice flowers everywhere -- the Azores are world famous for their flowers. |

| We check in to the brand new Azor Hotel overlooking the harbor marina in Ponta Delgada. It’s a very pretty place, especially at dusk when we take a stroll through it before a seaview dinner. |

We then get to relax at a magical spot hidden in a tropical forest nearby where a waterfall pours out of a hot springs into a thermal pool: Caldeira Velha. Time for a nice warm soak.

|
Take a look at Lagoa do Fogo -- or "Fire Lake" -- just another example of the natural beauty there is to see...
|

|
We get to go out to sea right off the south coast of Vila Franco do Campo, we sail to the Princess Ring Islet -- here is a drone shot.
