Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus all day. It will journey there until Tuesday afternoon. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words: change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing until Tuesday afternoon? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday early morning, a harmonious Mercury/Jupiter aspect becomes exact at 6:29am EDT. We started to feel this aspect from Friday early morning (Sept. 1st) on; it will be strong until Thursday morning (Sept. 7th). Due to Mercury’s Retrograde phase, we are experiencing this aspect for the second time within the last four weeks.
Think back to August 6-13th: What down-to-earth conversation(s) most helped you organize yourself and maybe got you exploring practical mental and physical health applications? What are you ready to experiment with?
During this time, we are more optimistic. We see the bigger picture, communicate more positively, and readily inspire others.
We are tolerant of other perspectives and ideas, naturally avoid narrow-minded thinking, and feel at ease reconnecting with people from all walks of life. We might be drawn to exploring foreign languages, cultures, spiritual practices, and other countries.
Ask yourself: What could I learn about my daily work or health routines or my values and talents that would expand my horizons? What might support a more abundant approach to my daily life?
Optimism plays a big role here as well. Ask yourself: What could I take care of at this time that is in service to my physical & mental well-being and my bank account?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 12-19 degrees of Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn? If so, you will be most blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius (Mercury is the ruler of Gemini and Virgo; Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius).
Monday at 10:10am EDT, Jupiter comes to a halt at 15.5 degrees of Taurus, starting its yearly 4-month Retrograde phase. Retrograde phases are inner processes — they help us connect to a particular energy internally and thus express it externally (once Jupiter goes direct again).
Jupiter retrograde brings a chance to tap into our inner wisdom, optimism, sense of possibility, and inner understanding of how the world works. This Retrograde phase lasts until Dec. 30th (and Jupiter will retrograde to 5.5º Taurus).
During this time, we get to choose what we truly believe — which beliefs serve us and which don’t — and we can more easily let go of limiting beliefs and experience new truths. While retrograde in Taurus, use these coaching questions:
What is in the way of my feeling abundant? What do I believe about my capacity to make money? What prevents me from slowing down and enjoying the physical experience of life? Or of seeing my body as an asset and something that holds wisdom?
What beliefs or social/cultural conditioning keep me from seeing myself as valuable? Where am I making assumptions that do not serve me? What do I observe about my expectations? Are they rigid or old-fashioned in any way? What if I took a 5% more positive attitude towards my body and my finances?
The connection to inner wisdom is definitely heightened during the retrograde phase, so ask yourself: What do I “just know”? If the answer is “I don’t know”, ask yourself: “What if I did know? What might it be in that case?”
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or any personal planets) in 4-17 degrees of Taurus, Scorpio, Leo or Aquarius? If so, you may be more affected by this Retrograde phase. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Sagittarius (Jupiter rules Sagittarius, so Sagittarius will always be affected more strongly by Jupiter’s movements and aspects).
