Monday, October 17th:
Monday, the Moon remains in protective, nurturing Cancer all day. It will journey there until Monday night/Tuesday very early morning.
With this Moon placement, we are more sensitive to what people say and therefore our feelings are more easily hurt -- so be kind to yourself and others. Self-Care is key for the rest of the day ;-)
Emotional safety is important to us as well; we like connecting to the familiar and we enjoy nurturing ourselves and others -- home and family call to us, for instance. Make sure though, that your glass is filled before letting others drink from it, otherwise you might start to feel drained and resentful.
Monday early afternoon, at 1:15pm EDT, the last Quarter Moon in 24.5° of Cancer becomes exact. We started to feel this aspect build the moment the Moon entered Cancer, last week, Saturday early afternoon (Oct.15th). The Moon in protective, nurturing Cancer makes a challenging aspect to the Sun harmony-oriented, idealistic Libra.
This may bring challenges; however, it also energizes us to face what demands completion or change. This Moon phase brings us closer to Oct. 25th, which will bring a powerful New Moon/Solar Eclipse in Scorpio.
With this particular last Quarter Moon, rather than starting major new projects, it serves us to take a look at what was started around the time of the last Solar Eclipse -- in this case, around April 30th, 2022. We now have about a week to wrap those projects up. What -- if anything -- needs last-minute adjustments? What have you discovered since late April/early May? What did it mean for you?
As best as you can, find creative solutions for anything that comes up (whether internally, or with others).
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-27 degrees of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, or Aries? If so, you will feel this month's last Quarter Moon quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Cancer since the Sun rules Leo and the Moon rules Cancer.
Monday late afternoon, at 4:56pm EDT, we enter a Moon VoC that lasts for almost 8 hours, until 12:45am EDT (Tuesday very early morning). Use this intuitive time to remain flexible and practice self-care — take good care of your emotional and physical body -- that way, you'll remain able to empower yourself and others.
As always with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don't start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late afternoon until Tuesday very early morning ahead of time.
Monday early evening, a somewhat challenging Venus/Neptune aspect becomes exact at 6pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from Sunday early evening on; it will remain strong until Tuesday early evening. This aspect operates more on an internal level. We feel uneasy about something, almost awkward -- and we need to make a choice. An inner awareness needs to be developed in order to see what needs adjusting.
We may have an unrealistic sense of our ability to relate right now and be attracted to others based on inaccurate perceptions -- and on incorrect appraisals of who we are and where we are going.
We might also get confused when we aren't able to connect with others in harmonious ways. The key is genuine self-acceptance; we allow that, our range of love expression increases.
It's also worthwhile to look at how our ideas are received by others: Can we involve them in our dreams? As best as you can, slow down and trust the process: "If a thing is worth having, it's worth waiting for." Just for right now, could you simply have faith that everything will align eventually?
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-24 degrees of Libra or Pisces? If so, you will feel this aspect quite strongly. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Taurus, Libra, or Pisces (Venus is the ruler of Taurus and Libra; Neptune is the ruler of Pisces).
Also, on Monday early evening, a harmonious Sun/Mars aspect becomes exact at 6:05pm EDT. We started to feel this aspect build from last week, Friday evening (Oct. 14th) on; it will remain strong until this week, Thursday evening. This aspect lets us know that we could create one-on-one relationships that support open-minded communication and exchanges. This becomes possible if we simply bring conscious awareness to our actions and create fair collaborations that lead to win-win outcomes.
It also brings a flow of intellectual stimulation that we can easily discuss and share with others. We have powerful stores of energy right now that we can draw upon when needed.
We respond to problems or challenges with a spirited and enthusiastic confidence that is admirable. We truly believe in equal opportunities and seem to be in love with life.
When we express or experience competitiveness, or courage, it's easy to smile and accept these traits as positive, rather than being rubbed the wrong way. We generally have good mental and physical vitality during this transit.
Do you have your Ascendant, Career Point (or personal planets) in 22-28 degrees of Libra, Gemini, or Aquarius? If so, you may feel more blessed by this aspect. This is also true for those of us who have our Ascendant or Sun-sign in Leo or Aries (the Sun rules Leo, Mars rules Aries).
