Monday, the Moon remains in steady, peaceful Taurus until 5:28pm EDT. We love all physical comforts, prefer consistency, and would rather stick with what we know works well.
In other words, change is not our favorite thing, and “rushing things” goes against our grain. What is our favorite thing for the next two days? It’s probably slowing down and getting in touch with whatever delights our senses.
Monday at 4:59pm EDT, we enter a brief Moon VoC that will last for 29 minutes, until 5:28pm EDT. Use this intuitive time as an opportunity to meet your need for material comfort with a gentler, more intuitive approach. Inner and outer beauty is key!
As always, with a Moon VoC, as best as you can, don’t start anything brand-new, stick to routine things, or simply go with the flow. You may also want to plan Monday late afternoon/early evening ahead of time.
Monday at 5:28pm EDT, the Moon moves into chatty, versatile Gemini, where it will journey until Wednesday late evening (July 31st). For the next two days, we like to learn, connect, and interact as much as possible. “Busy” feels good: connecting online, on the phone, or sharing face-to-face, preferably multi-tasking all the way…
The one thing we can do without is boredom: If our mind is not engaged in some way, we might as well curl up and play dead…
Also on Monday, Mercury’s Station intensifies at 2-4 degrees of Virgo, as Mercury is preparing to come to a halt on Sunday night (beginning its 3-week Retrograde phase).
We feel Mercury’s energies even more strongly during this intensified Station phase. It will remain at its most intensified until Aug. 9th. Going with the flow is definitely recommended at this time.
Pay attention to anything “in your face” in any of the following areas: health and well-being, your daily work routines, communications, short journeys, transportation of any kind, communication devices, processing information, learning, writing, teaching, or sharing. You will get a chance to re-organize yourself once Mercury goes retrograde.
Be extra patient if you intend to buy, sell, or ship big-ticket items, especially if they are transportation or communication devices like anything connected to planes, trains, cars, phones, computers, iPads, etc. Best of all (if possible): wait until after Sept. 11th, when the post-Shadow phase is over.
Here are some questions you could ask yourself during the Mercury Station phase: Do I experience any discomfort around my health and well-being? Am I debating whether or not my daily work routines are working for me?
Could I allow myself to be more mindful and observe what works for me (and what doesn’t)? Where could I be of more service to others? What if I approached things with 5% more humility?

Some of us will feel the effects of the Mercury station more than others: those of us who have Gemini or Virgo as our Sun- or Rising-Sign (Ascendant); and those of us with personal planets in 0-6 degrees of Virgo, Pisces, Gemini, or Sagittarius.
