Here are the astrological highlights of this Full Moon chart:
- There are two T-squares in this Full Moon chart, and both rulers of the Full Moon (Uranus and Saturn) are involved!
- One of the T-squares involves the Full Moon polarity (Aquarius-Leo) with Uranus in Taurus as the Focal Point
- The other T-square involves Saturn in Pisces, Venus in Virgo, and the Jupiter-Mars alignment in Gemini as the Focal Point
- The Moon in Aquarius not only opposes the Sun in Leo but also a Retrograde Mercury
- The Moon also trines the Jupiter-Mars alignment in Gemini
- The Sun in Leo trines Chiron in Aries
- Uranus (the modern ruler of Aquarius) is exalted at the time of the Full Moon – as it prepares for its yearly Retrograde phase that begins on Sept. 1st
- An exalted Uranus in Taurus sextiles Neptune in Pisces and trines Pluto in Aquarius
But first, let’s talk about the Full Moon polarity: the Moon in freedom-loving, forward-thinking Aquarius opposes the Sun & Mercury in fun-loving, expressive Leo.
This opposition highlights the power of our creativity as individuals and the exponential potency of collaboration. It invites us to reclaim ourselves and add our voice, heart, and hands to something meaningful.
Since Mercury is currently in retrograde motion, we may need to look back before we can move forward.
Mercury started its 3.5-week Retrograde on Aug. 5th (soon after the last New Moon in Leo). So rather than sharing something new, we may want to revisit what we created or discussed from July 17th to 21st, when Mercury moved through its pre-Shadow phase in Leo.
The invitation with this opposition is to dare to be different and to remember how we are all part of a larger whole. The highest quest of Leo leads to authentic Self-expression: to embody our gifts, shine our light, and live our truth.
The highest task of Aquarius, on the other hand, is the attainment of unity in diversity, where everyone’s uniqueness is honored and included.
When we align our heads with our hearts, we feel our interconnectedness with all of humanity and create and connect from love instead of fear.
Given that Leo represents our self-expression and Aquarius our vision for humankind, a question arises: How can we best balance these two energies? Or even integrate them?
We’ll seek answers to this question for the next two weeks, as we might become more aware that something is out of alignment.
All Full Moons have a shadow side — so let’s take a look at the shadow of both signs involved in this Full Moon — and please note that the shadow side of any sign is usually not as comfortable to look at or embrace.
As always, with shadow aspects of ourselves, we need to...
