| | HALLOWEEN OPPORTUNITY AT MARITIME AQUARIUM AT NORWALK |
| | The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is hosting a “Halloween Stroll” on the evenings of October 28 - 30. Guests will be invited to enjoy special decorated exhibits as well as other Halloween-themed experiences. In lieu of Trick-or-Treating, all guests will receive a goody bag upon leaving the Aquarium. Currently, the Aquarium has thematic decorations planned for many exhibits and common areas. The decorating ideas are planned and executed by the staff and volunteers similar to community "trunk or treat" events.
There are two very prominent areas of the aquarium that are in need of thematic decor namely:
- The largest exhibit "Open Ocean," home to sharks and other fish
- The entrance area - both indoor and outdoor
The Aquarium invites artists to submit work to be shown in these locations, and possibly elsewhere in the aquarium. Themes can include Halloween, maritime/aquatic, Long Island sound, conservation, etc. Deadline for receipt of materials: Mon. Oct. 26.
