Luisa Gabriela Guzman, born and raised in Bolivia (South America), is an American Fine Art oil painter and sculptor, who recently started working with soft pastels. She is a realist painter, whose work is rich in color and vibrancy, and full of life. She strives to create volume and likeness, and to capture the essence of the subjects. She has exhibited paintings and sculptures in her native Bolivia, the Carlson Gallery, The Barnum Museum, Earthplace, Silvermine Gallery, Nuartlink Gallery, and City Lights Gallery. She is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the National Sculpture Society, the CT Pastel Society, and the Central Mass Pastel Society. In addition to her fine art, she is also a teaching artist, an arts administrator and a mentor to youth. |
