| | TRISH WEND
Trish Wend is a representational artist, working in oils to create still life and landscape paintings. Her work has been described as rich, classic and radiant. She paints from life and often employs chiaroscuro, the mystery of shadows contrasted with the effects of light as it lands on each object in the painting. She has studied with Gregg Kreutz at the Art Students League of New York and at the Palette & Chisel Academy in Chicago, IL. Her paintings have been in local juried shows (Ridgefield Guild of Artists, Kent Art Association), and nationally, in the American Artists Professional League and The Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. “I try to capture the mood in the scene, whether it’s drama or stillness, and not just paint what I see. I want to leave you my impression of the experience and the joy that comes from looking at colors that glow.” |
