Effective November 6, 2023
The eBlast is a dedicated email marketing service designed to provide our members with far-reaching marketing support, exposure, and event promotion. We aim to provide artists and organizations with a high-quality, strategic digital promotion with deep reach into virtual and physical communities that seek to engage with arts and culture. To do so, while operating with a lean staff (like many of you!), we have decided to make a few updates to our eBlast policy. We ask that you adhere to these changes so that together, we can all achieve our promotional goals and continue to expand arts access and promotion across Fairfield County.
The following updates to our eBlast policy will begin on November 6, 2023:
Cost: Scheduling: A request must be sent in writing two (2) weeks before the desired release date. All requests must be sent to marisa@culturalalliancefc.org, the CAFC administrative assistant. CAFC will work with the organization, institution, or artist to determine a date and time to disseminate the email based on the target population. Approval of eBlasts is contingent upon scheduled CAFC newsletter release days. eBlasts are programmed to avoid conflict with CAFC communications.
Content: When requesting an eBlast, the following information must be provided: Who/What/Where/When + 200-word count description (content should be purposeful, engaging, impactful, direct)
Special promotions and discounts for CAFC members are encouraged, as they provide more engagement. Special promotions are distinct from the 200-word count. Send hyperlinks so we can create up to two button links as part of your eBlast. Here are some examples: CAFC Discount Here Buy Tickets Here Learn More Read More
eBlasts will be sent back to you for your final approval before being sent
Images: Send images only with no text in compliance with accessibility standards set by the Association with Disabilities Act. The image must be 589 X 331 sized to fit the email template in landscape orientation. All images must have alternative text that describes the image being used in a way that relates to the reason behind using said image. Example: photo of a woman wearing a blue hat outside cheering for a sporting event.
Note: CAFC reserves the right to decline approval based on policy and or other more appropriate communication avenues.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you and to do so with excellence.
In community, Erika K. Wesley Executive Director
