1. The Correct SHAPE of Images |
|
|
|
You probably do not want an image like the one above to be next to your event that your organization has put so much time, effort and money into creating.
When you upload an image to your Event Info page you are helped by an app that will crop your image to the correct proportions. But it will crop the image you upload from the center out, so it helps to use an image that is the correct shape for the space.
At the right on the "Event Info" form is a diagram of the shape needed: |

So the most important thing about these image shape examples is that they are "landscape" - horizontal oblongs. So, please make sure you choose images that are this shape, or crop your selected images to make sure they are this shape.
Ideally if you can submit images that are the sizes required this will make things easier. However the automatic cropping app will do a decent job if you submit images of the roughly correct SHAPE.
At the bottom of this box to the right you will see a link to a very useful free online cropping tool. If you don't have the tools or expertise in-house to crop an image to the right shape and size, we recommend this tool. It's at https://imageresize.org - and we recommend you bookmark it and use it often! |

The image that was loaded that gave us the example above of a wonderful midriff, came from this uploaded image. You see it's a vertical, or "portrait" image. Almost the opposite of the example shapes at the side. |

We uploaded this and this was the result: |
