A reminder that we've scheduled some space and time for a community chat today just for artist members about how you're dealing with loss of income and social isolation. What relief do you know about? Liz Shapiro, Director of Arts, Preservation & Museums will join us for some of the call.
2. ANY N95 FACE MASKS?
Following up from an earlier message from Sonia Huber, I'm reiterating her call for any unopened packages of N95 masks that you may have in your studio to be donated for use by healthcare providers at Norwalk Hospital and other area institutions. If you use a mask any stage of your art process for screening particulate matter, please check. These are of vital importance to the healthcare industry right now, as they block the COVID-19 virus, and there is a serious shortage.
Apart from the two donation centers in Stratford so far, I will have a collection bin outside our office at 301 West Ave (at the front of Mathews Park), in Norwalk today and every Friday 12-3pm. If you are in another town, please email quarantineassist.stratford@gmail.com and we will connect you with a volunteer who will safely get this material to a hospital.
