The Artists Respond grant program provides direct funding to Connecticut artists to pursue community-based projects that use the arts to respond to social issues, current events, and community needs. Connecticut artists may apply for a grant of either $2,500, or $5,000 to support artist fees associated with project activities. |

The program offers free monthly drop-in grant clinics on the 1st Wednesday each month from 10am to Noon, workshops, panel discussions, and one-on-one consulting with professional grant writer Jessica Morozowich.

| | Recognizing that we must invest in more creative/transformative ways to confront the systemic racism and gross inequities that exist in our region - as they significantly challenge our ability to connect people, places and cultures - we have built Cultural Alliance 2.0 - a new pro-active approach to significantly diversify the people, perspectives and traditions that are reflected in the region’s cultural infrastructure.
As part of 2.0, we are creating a network of some 70 “Culture Connectors” - literally emboding a multiplicity of perspectives and experiences, who, as “equity stewards” can inform and guide our future. The Connectors will reflect the demographics and dynamics of each town, and will be paid modest honoraria, where required, to cover time and expenses.
