“So excited to debut GBYO’s new Chamber Orchestra! Great repertoire, great soloist, AMAZING students.” Maestro Christopher Hisey, Music Director
The stunning sound of 30 talented young classical musicians will soon fill the Unitarian Church in Westport when Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras presents the debut concert of its newest ensemble, Chamber Orchestra.
These highly accomplished young musicians, selected from GBYO’s Principal Orchestra, have been rehearsing since September for this special concert. Their teamwork and dedication to their craft will be evident as they play complex works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Vivaldi with guest soloist Dr. Nina Crothers, Assistant Concertmaster of Greater Bridgeport Symphony under the baton of Christopher Hisey.
The audience will be inspired both by the spirit of the musicians and the setting, well-known for its ideal acoustics, dignified structure and peaceful surroundings. Supporters can munch and mingle with Maestro Hisey and his staff as well as some of the young musicians at a pre-concert VIP wine and hors d’oeuvres reception.
Tickets are $25 for the concert which begins at 7 pm
$100 for the concert, reserved seating and VIP reception at 6 pm
