| PLEASE ANSWER OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU WITH YOUR COMMITMENT TO US PLEASE TAKE OUR CENSUS/SURVEY |
| It is extremely important to us that every member and EBuzz subscriber complete our very simple, very short survey that will enable us to build an accurate demographic snapshot of the reach of the Cultural Alliance of Fairfield County. This will give us a solid baseline against which to measure the success of our efforts to reach out and engage more equitably with the rich diversity of residents and cultures across coastal Fairfield County. Thank you to all who have completed the survey. But we are still at only 17% completion. If you have not taken the survey, PLEASE DO SO NOW. |

EASY TO APPLY ARTISTS RESPOND GRANT DEADLINE 1: JULY 28 For Projects Oct. 1, 2021 - April 30, 2022
The Artists Respond grant program provides direct funding to Connecticut artists to pursue community-based projects that use the arts to respond to social issues, current events, and community needs. Connecticut artists may apply for a grant of either $1,000, $2,500, or $5,000 to support artist fees associated with project activities.
Projects to occur in CT to address a range of social issues such as: - equity and racial justice;
- community development;
- empowerment of LGBTQ communities;
- COVID-19/pandemic;
- mental health;
- and other artist-centered initiatives that use the arts to inspire, empower, educate, and transform our Connecticut communities.
The Artists Respond program aims to invest in a wide range of community-based projects from large audience events to small group activities. All activities must be ready to pivot, if necessary, to comply with the ever-changing social distancing measures implemented at the local, state and federal level as a result of COVID-19. The program provides two application rounds to support activities in the fall/winter and the spring/summer seasons. Be sure to review the full program details on the COA website to learn more about the program. https://portal.ct.gov/DECD/Content/Arts-and-Culture/Funding_Opportunities/Artists-Respond |
