Please take our second COVID-19 Impact Survey. Four months ago, in March, we put out a survey to measure the impact and your sense of the imminent loss of jobs, clients, venues, audiences, income and more. Now we are asking you to measure the impact of this pandemic on your livelihood as an artist. Precise numbers are gold, but estimates are incredibly valuable as well. Responses from this will join with those from our sister Regional Service Organizations from across the state and will be used as evidence, documentation and ammunition to garner new relief funding and other governmental support in the future. Your voice and experience is important. 53 of you, artists, responded to our first survey in March. Let's double that this time around. | Thank you so much to the 71 member artists who contributed images of their artwork, reflecting their responses to the pandemic and to the Black Lives Matter movement, for our #CAFCArtistoftheDay campaign on social media. You can still see our collection by clicking on the hashtag. Now we move on to #SonoArtCares, a project of The Sono Collection, the new Mall in South Norwalk, that commissioned 10 artists to live paint 3 days a week, one artist a week for 10 weeks, through Sept 27. Follow their progress and support their work. The Sono Collection has generously donated the artwork for auction by The Cultural Alliance - see the auction site here. |
