Friend, I hope you're doing well in these increasingly strange times!
Ever since the end of the live music prohibition here last summer it seems like I've never been as busy - mostly with entertainment cover gigs in bars and restaurants with a small number of worship events thrown in.
However, more recently it has been all of the above plus recording and songwriting projects.
Here's the lowdown. The Cave Sessions Trilogy
I've recently finished recording and filming the final volume of The Cave Sessions Trilogy. And by all accounts it's shaping up to be the best one yet.
I'll do a video update on that shortly but one of the highlights was recording in an iconic location with surround sound and filming in 360º Virtual Reality video format.
When it's released you'll be able to have a fully immersive experience of it, just as if you're a member of the band with us - can't wait for you to see that.
In the meantime click here for a 360º photo as a taster!
2. Writing a song in every county in Ireland
As soon as the dust settled on the cave sessions the next project deadline was looming.
You may know this idea has been brewing for a while but a small grant from The Arts Council of Northern Ireland means that I have to have the first phase done by end of March.
So I'm on the road around the 9 counties in the province of Ulster in the songwriting van just when fuel prices are eye wateringly high (thanks Mr Putin!).
Anyways here a short video of my trip to County Down to collaborate with local singer-songwriter Fra Sands
